Efficacy and Safety of Rivaroxaban in the Prevention and Treatment for Thrombo-Embolic Disease in the Very Old Patients
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects and safety of rivaroxaban in the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disease in the very old patients by comparison with warfarin.METHODS: All enrolled patients were followed up for 12 months.During that period, the hemoglobin, platelets, coagulation, liver and kidney function were monitored at baseline, 1 month,3 months, 6 months and 12 months respectively after treatment.The primary efficacy endpoints included all-cause mortality, recurrent or new venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism,cerebrovascular and cardiovascular events.
