Analysis of Cardiovascular Risk Factors Associated with Abdominal Obesity in Middle-aged to Elderly Women in Guangxi Nanning

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to investigate the cardiovascular risk factors associated with abdominal obesity in middle-aged to elderly women in South China.METHODS: A total of 1,303 abdominal obesity females aged from 40 to 85 years old in Nanning,Guangxi province, were selected and screened via cross-sectional study.Medical history and physical examination, blood pressure, blood biochemistry analysis for all subjects were recorded.The waist circumference over 80 cm in female was considered as abdominal obesity.Principal component analysis was used to analyze the major cardiovascular risk factors associated with abdominal obesity.
