BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to investigate clinical application of ultrasonography in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules in the elderly.METHODS: Ultrasonography data of 117 elderly patients with thyroid nodules confirmed by surgery and pathology were analyzed retrospectively from Jan.2013 to Feb.2015.Their sonogram features were summarized.
