Present Situation on Blood Pressure Control Rate and Antihypertensive Drug Use in the Elderly Coronary Heart Disease Patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the present situation on blood pressure control rate and antihypertensive drug use in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD), diabetes mellitus (DM) and hypertension (HP).METHODS: In this multicenter, non-intervention and cross-sectional survey, the elderly coronary heart disease patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension aged 60 years or over were recruited from 165 hospitals in 21 provinces or cities across China from April to July 2011.Antihypertensive therapy, blood pressure control rate in different target value, ways of antihypertensive drugs and standard treatment recommended by guideline were investigated in the study.
