Present Situation on Blood Sugar Control and Related Influencing Factors, Hypoglycemic Drug Use in the Elderly Coronary Heart Disease Patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the present situation on blood sugar control and related influencing factors, hypoglycemic drug use in the elderly coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and hypertension (HP).METHODS: In this multicenter, non-intervention and cross-sectional survey, the elderly CHD patients aged 60 years or over were recruited from 165 hospitals in 21 provinces or cities across China from April to July 2011.The elderly CHD patients with DM and HP were selected from the survey as subjects to be investigated for blood sugar control, its influencing factors, and the usage of hypoglycemic drugs.
