Deficits of Visual Magnocellular Stream in Chinese Children with Developmental Dyslexia
Developmental dyslexia (DD) is the most common learning disability and is characterized by a poor reading ability (e.g.impairments in word coding, reading fluency) in children who have normal intelligence, sufficient sociocultural opportunities, and have not known neurological damage or organic injury. The magnocellular (M)deficit theory proposes that dyslexia is due to abnormality in the M stream.
