A Novel Method for Psychological Assessment Based on the Analysis of VOCs in Exhaled Breath
Stressful events may adversely affect a child”s physiological and psychological health. To evaluate the impact of stress on children”s well-being, it is important to develope valid and reliable stress assessment methods.Exhaled breath is a type of non-invasive biological sample, it can be used to define biomarkers (or breath prints) related to human biological process. In this article, a novel sampling and determination for exhaled breath has been developed and a preliminary exploration has been taken to make clear the relationship between the variation of the content of the VOCs and the psychological behavior of individuals.
