The self-assembly of hydrocarbon groups on Ir(100) surface

摘要：

Ir(100) surface is practically by far the best substrate for diamond heteroepitaxial growth.Whether there exist better substrates is unknown and the answer depends on the understanding of the mechanism of the nucleation of carbon atoms on the surface,in the process of which hydrogen may play an important role.
