The concept of governance in law and legal scholarship: A German perspective on the concept and its function

The concept ”governance” is not a legal term in the German legal system.We do not find the concept in statutory provisions or in court decisions.The concept is rather used in three distinct ways: First it specifies a new academic approach in the scholarly discourse on law, in particular on administrative law.
