The strength of transverse Love numbers in problems of mass-loading and thermo-poroelastic deformation
Thermo-poroelastic Love numbers, Hn, Ln, and Kn are introduced in comparison with the mass-load Love numbers hn, ln, and kn.Full analytical solutions are presented based on simplified Earth model for both mass-loading and thermo-poroelastic deformation.Self-gravitation is considered for the first time for thermo-poroelastic deformation.The strengths of the transverse Love numbers are characterized uniformly by asymptotic order, based on those analytical solutions.At each harmonic degree, n, the relative importance of transverse displacement as opposed to the radial displacement is ~ O(1)/n for the mass loading and~ O(1) for the thermo-poroelastic deformation.
