Geochronological Framework of the Early Precambrian Rocks in the Liaodong Peninsula and Their Geodynamic Implications
The dynamic setting and tectonic evolution of the Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt(JLJB),North China Craton,however,remains controversial;some workers believe that it formed by the closure of an intra-continental rift,others suggest that it is an arc-continent collisional belt.Such a controversy arises from the lack of a systematic study on the origin and geochronology of the Early Precambrianrocks in the Liaodong Peninsula.Our new data are inconsistent with the rifting model,but rather,support the arc-continent collision model,as described below.
