The specific interactions between RNA polymerase and promoter mediate the transcription initiation.There is a great deal of interest in uncovering transcriptional regulations.The most frequently applied method for characterizing the strength of promoters is via coupling with report gene,and the activity of a promoter is reflected by the expression rate.
