The status,prospects and challenge of graphene
Graphene sheet,a single layer of carbon atoms,stacks with an inter-planar of 0.335nm forming bulk graphite.Gra-phene,as a rapidly rising star in material filed,has many extraordinary properties,such as unique electronic property,mechanical properties and etc.Nevertheless,most electronic applications are hindered by the zero band-gap in pristine graphene,so that modi-fied graphene has attracted interests to improve semi-conductive properties of graphene.Doping is considered as one of the most fea-sible methods to improve particular performance at one aspect.In this paper,a brief introduction about recent research of graphene doping mainly consists of introduction,synthesis,characterization and applications.Sorts of potential applications of doping gra-phene are also introduced in brief.In addition,experiments and theoretical computation support with each other,theoretical compu-tation guides experiments and predicts performance of materials and experiments verify calculation result.Finally,the development of modified graphene will arrive a new level with many challenges at the same time.
