N-doped functional graphene nanocomposite as electrode for selective electrosorption of Inorganic Salts from Aqueous Solution
1 Introduction Porous carbon electrodes for water desalination using capacitive deionization ( CDI) have attracte dgreat attentions, due to the proper specific surface area for ion accessible, electrochemical stability, high electronic conductivity but the hydrophobic surface limit the application in CDI process”1”.To improve the surface wettability of the carbon-based materials and pseudocapacitance, chemical droping with het-eroatoms like phosphorus”2”,boron”3”,sulfur”4”,and nitrogen”5” have been achieved.Among those het-eroatoms,nitrogen is the most attractive one, since it electronegativity is higher than carbon atom thus can enhance the basicity of the carbon material”6”.
