A Novelty Abatement of Vibration and Noise in Power Transformer

  To meet the residential and commercial requires,more and more substations were built in densely inhabited district nowadays.The continual noise exposure caused by transformer are harmful to people” health besides disturbance to their daily lives.Consequently,transformer noise level is one of the most important indicators to evaluate the quanlity in design and manufacturing of transformer manufacturers.In previous studies,many efforts have been made to find out the strategies for noise reduction of the transformer,however there are no effective solutions by now.We lay emphasis on both internal and external transformer structure for better strategy.Under working condition of load currents,it is found that winding electromagnetic force is the main source of transformer vibration and noise.Considering noise propagation path,we explored the source of vibration and noise,the route of their transmission and the corresponding approaches for their reduction.ANSYS Workbench and Virtual Lab Acoustics software were used for simulation analysis and setup of the solid model of transformer.Based on the solid model,transformer vibration and noise generated by electromagnetic interaction were simulated with numerical analysis,which preliminarily indicated the effect of reduction approaches.To explore their effect further,field test of transformer vibration and noise were carried out.These results of the analysis suggested the validility of the reduction approachs.The application of our approaches provide a promising target for noise reduction,which will improve the serve quality of power supply department.
