Resistance to inhibitors of cholinesterase 8 protein (Ric8) acts as a non-receptor guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for Gα subunits and plays an important role in regulating G-protein signalings in Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster and mammalian cells.
