Research on the Transgenic Rice Expressing the Outer Capsid Proteins of Rice Black-streaked Dwarf Virus
Rice black-streaked dwarf virus (RBSDV), a member of genus Fijivirus within the family Reoviridae, can cause a significant reduction in cereal crops production.RBSDV has 10 genomic segments of double stranded RNA, and the genome is encapsidated by two protein shells, one outer capsid and one inner core shell. However, relatively little is known about the role of the outer caspid proteins, P4 and P10, in rice plants.
