Beet black scorch virus Long Distance Movement is Associated with Reversible Phosphorylation of Coat protein which Interferes Virion Formation

Most plant virus coat proteins (CPs) have multiple functions, including protection of genomic RNAs, virion assembly, and virus movement.Phosphorylation of several CPs, for example Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV), Potato virus A (PVA), Potato virus X (PVX), Brome mosaic virus (BMV), and Groundnut bud necrosis virus (GBNV) CPs, regulates various aspects of the viral life cycle, and has been studied extensively.
