Comparison and analysis between education norms for three biological undergraduate majors

  There are three closely bio-related undergraduate degree programs, bioscience, bio-technology,bio-engineering and develop appropriate education norms in China universities.How to reflect their own scientific, technical and engineering connotation and characteristics is the responsibility of our educators, as well as keen interest that candidates and their parents take, real problems that talent market face on Bioscience major is a typical scientific major, training scientific type and teaching type talents, awarding BS degree;biotechnology majors science as the principal, and to engineering as the supplement, compositing science with engineering, training application research type or technology type talents, awarding science, or agronomy or forest bachelor degree;bioengineering majors engineering as the principal, and to science as the supplement, compositing engineering with science, training application type engineering and technology talents, awarding engineering bachelor degree.Furthermore through a comparative analysis of training objectives, curricula and practice, a number of amendments have been proposed in order to provide references for modification of major norms,revision of teaching plans, employers, student candidates and their parents to choose major.
