Codification of the Civil Law of Republic of China:From an Integration of Western and Chinese Legal Norms to Comparative Legislation

摘要：

Ⅰ.Introduction The Civil Code in Contemporary China was made up of intellectual knowledge, mostly civil law experiences imported from foreign countries and indigenous Chinese legal practices.4 The knowledge composition, normative function and cultural style of the civil code would be finally determined by the political ideals of the ruling government,legislative policies, knowledge background of legislators, choice of materials, and the means of blending and innovation.
