A Comparative Analysis of the United Nations Convention on the Use of Electronic Communications in International Contracts: The Australian Experience
Introduction This paper discusses the Comparative view of United Nations Convention on the Use of Electronic Communications in International Contracts (Convention);and addresses the approach taken by Australia to the implementation of Electronic Commerce legislation.The paper will enumerate advantages and potential drawbacks in the adoption of the provisions of the UN Convention.Consequently the paper compares the ”improved” UN approach to the status quo of the many jurisdictions which adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law of Electronic Commerce.
