Research and practice of CIE-CDIO cultivation mode for the environmental engineering specialty
To cultivate the talents with abilities of creation, innovation and entrepreneurship is the aim of current high education of Chinese university.The CDIO education pattern which makes students learn project in the active, practical, organically connective ways among courses is a latest result in the international engineering education reform in recent years.A cultivation mode called CIE-CDIO which embodies the idea of creation,innovation and entrepreneurship into the CDIO education pattern was advanced in this paper.Meanwhile, The CIE-CDIO cultivation mode was practiced in the undergraduate courses of the environmental protection equipment field.The core undergraduate courses system involved in the environmental protection equipment field had been mapped out, the relationship between the acknowledge outlines in teaching and various phases of CIECDIO cultivating mode had also been developed.The whole teaching process which was comprised of bringing forward the idea of project, creative design, manufacture, examination, graduate design and entrepreneurship plan was implemented.The practice showed that the awareness of students” creation, innovation and entrepreneurship (CIE) had been inspired and the innovation capability of engineering practice had been improved.The goal of fully mobilizing student”s learning initiative and developing his practical ability by CDIO-based teaching theory was reached.
