Research and Simulation of Space time Block Codes
By Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antennas technology, space-time block codes STBC) can take advantage of multi-path to improve the transmission rate and reduce the symbol error rate.In this paper, the coding theory and decoding method of Alamouti codes, real orthogonal space-time block codes, complex orthogonal space-time block codes and quasi-orthogonal space-time block codes are introduced.Space-time block codes can be designed simply,and we can use ML(maximum likelihood) algorithm to decode it, which applies the linear combination method to the received signal.The BER performance of different encoding methods and transmitting and receiving antennas number is analyzed by simulating above several kinds of space-time block codes.
