A Novel Idle Charging Control Method to Increase Fuel Efficiency and NVH Performance
FAW HONGQI PHEV is a P2 configuration hybrid consisted of an integrated electric motor and hydraulic clutch module positioned between the internal combustion engine(ICE)and transmission.A novel idle charging control method based on the motor speed closed loop control is proposed and compared with engine idle speed control at different charging loads.The optimized PI parame-ters is chosen from a set of candidate ones according to instantaneous fuel efficiency and NVH performance.The test result shows the average instantaneous fuel consumption of motor speed control mode decreased more than 20%and NVH performance of vehicle is also improved compared with the engine idle control.
