Study on the Bending Fatigue of a Diesel Engine Roller Rocker Arm Assembly

  A finite element model of a diesel engine roller rocker arm assembly is established by ANSYS and FE-safe softwares.Then the stress and bending fatigue life of roller rocker arm assembly are calculated.Finally the bending fatigue test of roller rocker arm assembly is carried out on test bench,which is designed independently,both the simulation results of the finite element and experimental results are consistent,and the results show that : the combination method of simulation software and test proves the weakest part of roller rocker arm assembly in bending fatigue,and provides an important significance for the design and production of roller rocker arm assembly.
