1 Introduction In the Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) in the summer of 2012, the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) and the School of Design (SD) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University organized a roundtable on the future of design education in Asia.In the framework of 2012 being the Hong Kong Design Year, it was decided to invite a substantial number of worldwide leading experts to this event.
