Synthesis of zeolite materials with 8 and 10-membered rings and their applications in 1-butene catalytic cracking
Light olefins are promising materials in modem industrial applications and play more and more important roles in everyday life. There are huge amount of research on enhancing the yield of light olefins especially propylene. It is widely believed that the catalytic cracking of 1-butene is very promising since it could not only take full advantage of the low valued C4 fractions in a refinery but also provide an effective way to solve the problem of propylene shortages. Both 10-membered rings and 8-membered rings zeolite materials were prepared and were applied in the cracking of 1-butane.ZSM-5 zeolite showed better stability in reaction and lower selectivity to propylene. However, the 8-membered ring materials especially the intergrowth structure of CHA/AEI showed much better selectivity. And the reaction mechanism for them was deduced based on our study.
