The Dangerous Interaction of Alcohol and Age

摘要：

The age of the population in many countries such as China and the United States continues to increase.Many elderly people consume alcohol at dangerous levels.However,the impact of alcohol use in the elderly is not well understood.We have conducted a series of studies investigating the effects of acute and chronic ethanol exposure in three different age groups: adolescent, adult and agedrodents.Our data demonstrate that aged rodents are significantly impaired to those of other ages.
