TALENs mediated human α-lactalbumin gene insertion into the goat β-lactoglobulin locus

Introduction β-Lactoglobulin (BLG) is a dominant allergen in goat milk.Here, we applied transcription activator-like effector nucleases (TALENs) to knock out BLG gene and simultaneously increase human αt-lactalbumin (hLA) component to improve the nutritional quality of goat milk.
