Development and Application of Materials Genome Database in Integrated Material Design
New material design concept of Materials Genome Initiative (MGI) is a multi-scale material design route from microscopic to macroscopic point of view as well as from traditional phase diagram to ”phase diagram of property” for engineering.One of the main subjects of MGI is to construct the basic materials database,standardization of these data.By employing relevant physical models and these databases, the microstructure and property of materials can be simulated and predicted,and the development period of new materials is significantly reduced.It is concluded that thermodynamic database, kinetics database and properties database of materials are the vital component of MGI.
