Thermodynamic optimization of the Ni-V and Ni-Ti-V systems
A thermodynamic assessment of the Ni-Ti-V ternary system together with a partial reassessment of the binary Ni-V system was carried out by means of the CALPHAD technique.Two-sublattice model (Ni,V)10(Ni,V)20 was used to model the σ phase in Ni-V system in order to coincide with the Fe-based database.On the basis of the experimental isothermal sections at 1273K, 1373K, and liquidus surface projection, thermodynamic parameters of various phases in this system were reasonably modeled by means of CALPHAD technique.A set of self-consistent thermodynamic parameters of the Ni-Ti-V system was obtained.
