Experimental investigation and thermodynamic assessment of the Nb-V-Zr svstem
The Nb-V-Zr system was critically assessed by means of the CALPHAD technique.The solution phase (liquid, bcc, hcp) were modeled with the Redlich-Kister equation.The compounds V2Zr and ZrNbV,which have a homogeneity range, were treated as the formulae (Nb,V, Zr)2(Nb,V, Zr) by two-sublattice model.A set of self-consistent thermodynamic parameters of the Nb-V-Zr system was obtained.On the calculated liquidus surface projection, a series of experiments were conducted to confirm the predicted liquidus projection.
