Thermodynamic description of the Ag-Cu-Ge system

The Ag-Cu-Ge system was modeled using the CALPHAD (CALculation of PHAse Diagram) technique.Solution phases, liquid, fcc and hcp in the Ag-Cu-Ge ternary system, was modeled as (Ag, Cu,Ge) using the substitutional solution model.The compounds, epslon, eta and theta in Cu-Ge system were treated as (Ag, Cu)mGen in the Ag-Cu-Ge system.A set of self-consistent thermodynamic parameters was obtained.Using these thermodynamic parameters, the experimental isothermal section at 763,793, 863 and 923 K, the liquidus surface projection and the invariant reactions in the Ag-Cu-Ge system were well reproduced.
