RCA-based ”Inorganic-Bio” Nanostructure for Biosensing and Cellular Imaging

Inorganic nanoparticles have attracted considerable attention as nanocarriers for cellular imaging and drug delivery due to their unique properties, such as a high surface-to-volume ratio, their optical behavior, and the ability to be functionalized with biomolecules. However, many previous studies have shown that the practical use of nanoparticles as nanocarriers is often hampered by either the low molecule-loading capacity of small nanoparticles due to their limited surface areas or the low-efficiency cellular uptake and low intracellular stability of large nanoparticles.
