3D Pattern Computation from 2D Measurements for Ultra-Wideband Base Station Antenna
In this paper, a 3D pattern model is investigated with an aim to provide accurate measurements analysis for ultra wideband antennas.Through analytical models, a closed-form expression of the power pattern is obtained.Based on the derived pattern, a discrete power distribution mechanism is computed using midpoint interpolation technique according to the spherical coordinates.Simulation results with along the field measurements validate the analytical model and show useful insights in terms of radiated area with our 6-band antenna.
