A dual band tunable miniaturized frequency selective surface

摘要：

　　A tunable bandpass dual band miniaturised element Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) with close frequency band spacing capability is presented.The FSS design uses combinations of lumped inductors and varactor diodes to provide both the tunable dual band performance and miniaturized unit cell sizes, which are significantly less than the wavelength of operation.Full wave simulations demonstrate the potential of this design approach and the results show that the two frequency bands can be designed independently due to the low mutual coupling between the unit cells.
