Successful Integration of Partial FGD and SCR at Sinter Plant in China Steel Corporation
End-of-pipe technology for flue gas treatment to remove NOx,DXN,and SOx is successfully exercised at sinter plant in China Steel Corporation(CSC).As for removal of NOx and DXN,Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR)was adopted in 1990s.Furthermore,the SCR process combined FGD(Flue Gas Desulphurization)at sinter plant was developed for reduction of SOx emission.CSC has evaluated the investment,limited space,residual disposal,saving energy,removal efficiency and operation flexibility.The corporation of design,construction and commissioning are executed by design and engineering department,research department and operation department in CSC group.Finally,partial FGD process including wet-method absorber,Gas/Gas heater,electrostatic precipitator,booster fan and switched damper of wind-box was established.40 percent of flue gas with high SOx concentration are desulphurized thought the FGD,the rest of the untreated flue gas are mixed together to SCR.Since 2013,friendly,environmental sintering process is fulfill successfully to minimize the NOx,DXN,and SOx emission by means of integration of existing SCR and partial FGD at No.4 sinter plant in CSC.
