Influence of Monoclinic Zirconia Powder on the Properties of Zirconia Metering Nozzle Materials
By means of pressureless sintering process,the zirconia ceramic materials were prepared using calcia partially stabilized zirconia and monoclinic zirconia as raw materials,Y2O3 and CeO2 powder as composite stabilizer,PVA as binder.The effects of monoclinic zirconia grain size distribution,molding pressure and granulation on the sintering,mechanical strength,thermal shock resistance and phase composition of the specimens sintered at 1700℃ and 1720℃ for 3h in an air atmosphere were investigated.The results indicate that zirconia materials with good thermal shock resistance can be produced by this method.At the same time,monoclinic zirconia powder is finer,and the more contributions can be made to stability and densification of zirconia because of the transformation of monoclinic zirconia to cubic zirconia.
