Case Study of Greening Soil Remediation for Industrial Sites

  This paper presented a case study of soil remediation which took place at an industrial site in shanghai.In this paper,a remediation method which was efficient,cheap,safe and green was introduced.It combined the process of “biopile-soil improvement-soil phytoremediation” to achieve a better restoration effect.It covered an introduction of the remediation mechanism and the implementation process of this method,where engineering implementation included the construction preparation,soil excavation,screening and rushing,operation process,planting greenery,acceptance check monitoring,etc.In order to assess the effectiveness of this method,the pH value,electrical conductivity and organic matter content of the soil were analyzed and evaluated.The results showed that after remediation,the average soil pH value decreased from 8.9 to 8.0,the EC value increased from 0.30mS/cm to 0.64mS/cm,and the organic matter content increased from 0.93%to 1.26%,which could meet the target for the third level of“Greening Soil”(CJ/T340-2011).The results indicated that this method would achieve “As Remediation As Production” and stood in the forefront of remedial options for future projects.
