Pn tomography with Moho depth correction from eastern Europe to western China

The seismic velocity and anisotropy variation of the uppermost mantle is the key parameter in the study of lithosphere structure,plate movement mechanism and terrestrial heat flow situation,and can provide constrains on the research of types of crust accretion and crust-mantle transformation,characteristics of the hot material and plate movement,as well as other various important questions.The traditional uppermost mantle imaging method has a relatively fine imaging capability at the smooth regions,but is obviously limited at the regions which have strong uneven crust–mantle structure.We developed the seismic velocity and anisotropy tomography method which adapted to complex crust–mantle structure by considering the Moho depth variation and the effect to the seismic ray path,and obtain high-precision uppermost mantle seismic velocity and anisotropy variations from eastern Europe to western China.
