A Finite Volume Numerical Technique With GLM For A Solar Wind Model In Catesian Coordinates

nite volume numerical technique to explore the solar wind simulation in the Cartesian coordinate with the six-component grid system.The solenoidal constraint is handled by solving the generalized Lagrange multiplier(GLM) fomulation of the MHD equations,which coupled the divergence constraint with the conservation laws by introducing a generalized Lagrange multiplier.In the Cartesian coordinate,we take use of the rotational invariance property of theux function to make the solver easier.Roes approximate Riemann solver and Lax-Friedrichs are selected for the flux function.As they have only srt order spatial accuracy,linear least squares reconstruction together with Barth-Jespersens and Venkatakrishnans limiters are utilized.The numerical results of the background solar wind during Carrington rotation 2064 shows overall good agreements with the observations.
