AUSTENITE CONTINUOUS COOLING TRANSFORMATION OF WEARRESISTANT STEEL WITH HARDNESS 500HBW
The phase transformation rule,microstructures and properties of 500HBW wear-resistant steel produced in Jinan Company of Shandong Iron and Steel Co.ltd.have been investigated in this paper.When the chemical composition of steel is given,the cooling rates after austeniting affect on the properties of steel greatly.The hardness and tensile strength increasing as increasing of cooling rates.The main cause is due to appearance and increasing of Bainite and Martensite other than Ferrite and Pearlite at room temperature.The cooling rate has distinct effects upon the mechanical properties of steel plates.With the 3-55/s cooling rate,the tensile strength vary in 979-1690MPa,the hardness changed from 341 to 596HV10.In the procedure of manufacture of 500HBW wear-resistant steels,the quickly cooling rate should be got to keep suitable microstructure and good hardness and toughness.
