Hannah Arendt”s Alternative Validity in Political Judgment: A Response to Habermas”s Critic

摘要：

In an article published entitled ”Hannah Arendt”s Communications Concepts of Power”① in Social Research in 1977, Jügen Habermas points out that Arendt failed to provide a certitude ground to explicate her concept of action or public realm and that is why it leaves ”a yawning abyss between knowledge and opinion that cannot be closed with arguments”, especially she seems to appcal a too general sense of ”common will in a communication directed to reachingagreement” (his italics).
