The Architecture of Care for the Aging Population of China

摘要：

　　How can architecture play a role in aligning the physical and the cultural shift from a traditional to a modern conception of filial piety? Two theoretical concepts will be introduced to open a fruitful debate that can generate solutions to a huge societal issue.On the one hand there is the socio-cultural conception of time-space-duality, and on the ofher hand the architectural conception of typology.Finally three boftom-up concepts will be presented to illus trate only a very small piece of the strength of the architectural approach.
