　　Conversation Analysis (CA hence forth), based on pragmatics, can be an effective means to the exploration of the dramatic dialogue in The Importance of Being Earnest.Lady Bracknell”s power in the conversation and her role in creating dramatic conflicts are illustrated by analyzing the topic control, turn-taking, turn length and turn type in CA.
