Mdivi-1 prevents apoptosis induced by ischemia/reperfusion injury in primary hippocampal cells via inhibition of ROS-activated mitochondrial pathway
1.Introduction Ischemic-reperfusion (I/R) injury causes brain neurons structural and functional damage, which is one of the most important reasons of disability and mortality.Neuronal apoptosis is known a vital mechanism that lead to cell death after oxygen-glucose deprivation followed by reperfusion, so the relationship between cell-apoptosis and UR injury has stimulated great interest in the development of brain anti-apoptosis therapies. The brain consumes 1/5 of the body”s oxygen, so neurons are sensitive to hypoxia.
