Knowledge Disseminative Capabilities and the Transfer Effect --From the Perspective of New Product Development
Knowledge disseminative capability is an important ability in the sending and receiving process,which is the basis and prerequisite for transferring knowledge effectively.Despite that importance has been widely accepted by many scholars, theory and empirical researches are scarce.In order to reveal the relationship between knowledge disseminative capabilities and knowledge transfer effects, this paper put forward a conceptual model through theory analysis, and tested it with structural equation model.Results find that the ability to attain expert knowledge, the ability to select relevant knowledge and the ability to support the recipient in applying the knowledge are positively related to successful knowledge transfer;the ability to detach knowledge is negatively related to successful knowledge transfer.This empirical study concluded that disseminative capabilities will surely promote knowledge transfer success, inappropriate knowledge detachment will lower the transfer efficiency.
