香港中药毒性监察回顾
A retrospective review on thetoxicovigilance of Chinese Medicines was conductedto identify the toxic risks in Hong Kong.In Hospital Authority, CM toxicovigilancemechanism, including CM Toxicology MediaMonitoring and Herbal Adverse Events SentinelSystem, was established. In addition, provision ofCMs Drug Information Service, as well as researchon herb toxicity and herb-drug interaction for clinicalneeds, are also supporting the toxicoviligance ofCMs. These have contributed to a comprehensivemonitoring system to monitor the toxic risk of CMsin Hong Kong. Data extraction and analysis on thesefour aspects from 2005-2014 was conducted.Systematic toxicovigilance is essentialin providing reliable and useful information on thetoxicity of CMs for the formulation and developmentof. appropriate measures to reduce toxic risks in Hong Kong.
