Canada-China University Partnerships:A SWOT Analysis

In the 1980s Canada was a leader in initiating university linkages with China on a large scale,whereas it could be argued that Canadian universities are now lagging behind those of the USA,Australia and the UK.This study investigates the legacy of two major historic programs of collaboration supported by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA): the Canada-China Management Education Project (CCMEP,1983-1996) and the Canada-China University Linkage Project (CCULP,1988-2001).
