Thank you for inviting me to speak to this distinguished gathering of colleagues.It is my task today to talk about three things: the brief historical context and purpose for library collections; how to rebalance collections for the 21st century; and finally how to leverage those collections particularly curating a discovery environment for scholars and researchers.
